ABOUT US
After setting up The Little Design Co. in 2008, I made the decision that you just can’t have too many skills. I believe it’s important to have knowledge to be able to talk to clients with complete conviction about their projects, and so trained in as many aspects of our crazy interior decorating world as I could.
I took myself off, with hammer in hand, to the fabulously talented folks at Tresithick Upholstery in Cornwall where I studied with my lovely teacher, Richard Hooper, one of the AMUSF registered Masters of Upholstery. With his help, I was awarded a pass with credit for my Craft Certifcate Level Two by Bertram Chapman, MBE.
All these years later, I’m very excited to be part of LDC but in my own right as Resqueue Upholstery undertaking projects employing traditional upholstery methods – and occasionally some modern – but always using the finest materials and the utmost care. I feel very sympathetic towards pieces of used, well loved, furniture that has seen better days and that is a little worse for wear. No matter how sad the project, however, we can always make it gorgeous again
